Sunday Jun 20, 2010

Hi Podcast Listeners!! Sorry it's been a bit longer than usual to get a story to you.  Things have been pretty crazy around here in the last month! But here we are. This episode of teller2teller has two stories, both about natural disasters and volunteering to help out when its needed. For those who experience floods, cyclones etc, it can no doubt be pretty life changing. But what about the people who go to provide help? It has a big effect on them too. Both of today's stories are from people who have volunteered at sites of natural disaster in Queensland. One story titled "It changes you" was submitted anonymously. The second story, "Larry" was written and read by Kirstie, a regular teller2teller contributor. Kirstie is a young author from here in Brisbane. Kirstie has written some fantastic stories, some of which she has shared here on teller2teller, but if you would like to read more of her work, head over to Kirsties blog . Monday Feb 22, 2010

Hi groovers!! A big thank you to all the people who have subscribed to teller!! I hope you continue to enjoy our stories, and think about sharing your own. I hope you enjoy today's story! We hear from Pam, a woman who was really inspired by one of our very first podcasts, Dave's "Life Changing Moments". Pam told me her story about her own struggle with Diabetes and other health problems, and about her journey to a healthy and happy lifestyle.  Pam joined a gym and at the urging of a friend underwent a "12 week challenge" with the aim of changing her life forever. She certainly succeeded in changing things, but between you and me, I am not sure that bikini's, high heels, and fake tans are a change for the better!! Let me know what you think!! Pam and I would both love to hear from you. Just like Pam, everyone's got a story and everyone's a teller.

Well, do you? Be honest... Today’s podcast is about mobile phones, how we use them, and what they mean to us. We are on the cusp of moving into the year 2010, and for some of us who remember back far enough, luxuries like mobile phones haven’t always been there. I don’t know about you but for me the idea that one day we would walk around with a phone in our pocket was just inconceivable. I would love to get your feedback about this podcast so please comment, email me at teller2teller@gmail.com, call /text on 0451 163 692, or join teller of facebook or twitter. Remember, everyone has a story and everyone is a teller... Music in this podcast is from the now defunct Brisbane band St Andrews Fall - the song is called Hear me out
