teller2teller is back and excited to see you!! We have
had so many live shows keeping us busy – but now it’s time to share them with

tells of feeling nothing but out of place in China until he met her.
teller2teller has joined up with ordinary
extraordinary to give you the opportunity to say thanks to the special people
in your life. So head over to www.ordinaryextraordinary.com
& tell me who inspires you. Upload a photo of someone special & acknowledge
them for who they are for you.
Until next episode, remember everyone has a story and
everyone is a teller.
We had a wonderful time at teller2teller’s first ever live show.
If you were there and want to relive the fantastic night then down load the
podcast. If you couldn't make it ( and I know a whole bunch of you had a
wedding to go to) then you have the wonderful opportunity to download the whole
night recorded live and listen like you were there – you see, we look after you
– we don't want you to miss out!
I have to apologise for the audio
being a bit rough, baby steps and all that – still learning. But the next show
will be better.
Speaking of the next show, get
your listening ears on and come along. The next show is on at Kerbside on
Wednesday 25 May 2011 from 6pm – 8pm. We will have a few story tellers and a
wonderful host for your story listening pleasure – but you will also get a
chance to tell your own story! So keep your eyes and ears peeled for the
details!
On this episode of teller,
recorded at the first ever live show we bring you 4 amazing people:
Story teller Louise Phillips (http://www.louptales.com) Louise told a
wonderful old Irish folktale called The Man Without a Story - It’s the idea
that we all have a story inside of us, even when we doubt ourselves. I think
this was just a fabulous tale for the first ever live show because the tag line
for teller2teller has always been "every one's got a story and every one's
a teller"
Story teller Phil Laidlaw (www.lofly.com ). Phil worked as an OT at an institution at
Wacol with people with an intellectual disability, and told a bit of a story
about the people he met there - he talked about how we all kind of live up (or
down) to the expectations set for us.
Story teller Sean Dowling. Sean is a graphic designer for a
major theatre, and he told a story about his relationship with his dad and it
was amazing. He talked about how sometimes you don't know what you have until
its gone and he moved everyone in the room.
We also had an amazing host for
the night - her name was Lucinda Shaw. Lucinda is an very talented performer
who does a wide range of things, not least of which is being the singer and a
major contributor to creative genius behind a band called Silver Sircus. She
made the show run really smoothly and brought it together professionally, and
was kind enough to share some of her beautiful poetry!
Hope you love it!! Let me know!!
And don't forget to contact me
about being a story teller at the next show at kerbside – pop over there for a
drink and check the venue out.
Well howdy folks, its been a while.
So
much to tell, so much to tell !!
You might have heard that teller2teller is going live! The first show is this Friday night 5.30 – 7.pm and its at the Brisbane Square library. We have three great story tellers who will tell their stories live to the audience. If you’re in Brisbane then you MUST come – all the details are here. If you’re not in Brisbane – stay tuned to the podcast because stories from the live shows will be featured on the podcast each month.
Teller 2 teller has a really cool 2011 lined up for you!
And Today’s episode, My desire for life, is a story that has been sent in anonymously to teller2teller, and I am going to read it for you myself. This might be a good time to remind you that I am always looking for people who want to narrate stories for teller2teller so if you are interested, email me.
teller2teller isn't for children, but
still, I thought I would just let you know - this episode does have some swear
words in it and talks about drug use and sex, so if your easily offended you
might want to turn ths one off.
Remember, everyone has a story, and everyone is a teller.

If you want more of Van - poke your nose around her blog "The Book of the Witch".

While Jasmine is on the lookout for a publisher she has contributed some of her work to teller2teller so you can get a taste of her talent.

Hi Podcast Listeners!!
Sorry it's been a bit longer than usual to get a story to you. Things have been pretty crazy around here in the last month! But here we are.
This episode of teller2teller has two stories, both about natural disasters and volunteering to help out when its needed. For those who experience floods, cyclones etc, it can no doubt be pretty life changing. But what about the people who go to provide help? It has a big effect on them too. Both of today's stories are from people who have volunteered at sites of natural disaster in Queensland. One story titled "It changes you" was submitted anonymously. The second story, "Larry" was written and read by Kirstie, a regular teller2teller contributor. Kirstie is a young author from here in Brisbane. Kirstie has written some fantastic stories, some of which she has shared here on teller2teller, but if you would like to read more of her work, head over to Kirsties blog .
If you would like to read more about the storms and cyclones in today's episode have a look at the following links for a range of information and images:
